There are many different resources for students and their families to assist them in making informed decisions regarding the type of institution, program, and career path that best meets their individual choices and education decisions. To help in that research, below are links to various accrediting agencies that will show accredited schools, their status with that agency, and programs offered.

State Authorization and Licensing

Colleges and schools are generally licensed or authorized to offer education by state agencies.  There are many state agencies across the nation and each state has at least one authorizing or licensing agency.  Students and their families are encouraged to reach out to the appropriate agency in their state as a part of research to identify the education pathway that fits individual career goals.

State Associations

There are many trade associations across the nation that provide advocacy for private career schools and colleges.
